Help! My applicants are using AI!
The following question was asked recently in the Front Row CEO community:
"Some of the applications being submitted are obviously AI-generated. I don't mind leveraging AI for idea generation and using Grammarly for editing - but it's hard to check for English skills, and I want someone who will write as a human speaks, not a machine. I'm thinking of rejecting applications that have emailed using straight AI responses (without editing and adding their voice). Any thoughts on this Jen Lehner?"
In this episode, you'll hear my thoughts on the topic. Plus, I share lots of tools you can use to check to see if your applicant used AI in their email/applications.
TOOLS TO DETECT AK:
- ChatGPT AI Classifier: This tool can help you identify if an AI wrote a cover letter or resume.
- SAPIA: This tool uses machine learning algorithms to predict the likelihood of a candidate being successful in an advertised position. It can help employers identify if an applicant has used AI to optimize their application.
There are Also these tools which are made for educators but could be helpful for our purposes too:
- Winston AI: This tool is great for educators and students looking to verify academic instances of AI. It supports OCP and offers a high detection accuracy rate. It is similar to Originality but focused on educators looking to check for students who wrote papers using AI. You can start for free but need to upgrade if you have a ton of papers to check.
- AI Writing Check: This is a free service developed by Quill.org and CommonLit.org to enable educators to check if a piece of writing submitted by a student was written by the AI tool ChatGPT. This algorithm is designed to detect AI-generated writing. It is estimated to be accurate 80-90% of the time.
- Copyleaks: This is a plagiarism checker that uses AI to detect plagiarism in student essays. It is easy to use and offers a high detection accuracy rate.
